Few events attract more attention in the dental world than the BDIA Dental Showcase.
In two weeks’ time, around 8,000 professionals from dentistry and related industries will head to the ExCel in London to view the latest innovations in dental care, hear from eminent speakers on best practice and network.

This innovative machine is set to be a game-changer for the dental industry and beyond explained Veraco CEO George Strong:
“We recognised a need for an alternative to single-use plastic wipes, but we also knew that, as with many greener options, they are more expensive.
“We wanted to challenge that status quo and actually provide dentistry and other markets with a greener yet cost-saving alternative, which we’re thrilled to have done.”
With its auto-dispensing function, 2 litre tank for disinfectant and paper-based wipes – which can be dispensed either wet or dry – HyGe has proven to be both greener and cheaper than plastic-based wet wipes, which are still the industry standard.
Its green credentials speak for itself, with a Lifecycle Assessment based on a typical four chair practice setup revealing:
- A 78% reduction in carbon emissions when compared to industry-standard plastic wipes.
- It takes just over 1 day for it to reach its carbon break even point.
- A saving of 7,254kg in carbon emissions.
- 100% biodegradability
- Reductions in wastage of around a third due to its auto-dispensing function and wipes never drying out from exposure.
