In 2024, the UK Government announced next steps to ban the supply and sale of wet wipes containing plastic following overwhelming support. This is world-leading legislation that is set to be introduced this year to help tackle plastic pollution and clean up waterways. 1
According to Dentistry.co.uk, the average dental practice uses 400 single-use wipes per week per surgery. In a four chair practice this results in over 100,000 plastic wipes being discarded each year, at great cost to both the business and the environment. 2
